The SQL Server 2005 instance on my primary development system is not accessible from the secondary system. I can ping, do DICOM communication, I've added my domain identity to the list of SQL users, but so far to no avail.
Is it the XP firewall?
Is is some obscure security feature of SQL Server?
I want to access the database over the net so I can run a test app on the secondary machine, and simultaneously observe the effects on the product being stressed on the primary machine.

I guess Google will eventually lead me to the answer...

[edit 20070907]It's the friendly firewall.
